Alexandra Hasluck was an historian and writer. Born Alexandra Margaret Martin Darker in Perth, Western Australia, she worked as a teacher before her marriage to Paul Hasluck 1932. Active in public and intellectual life, Alexandra Hasluck was the author of numerous historical and biographical studies as well as short stories. She died in 1993.
