Robert Henderson (Bob) Croll was an author and Victorian public servant. Born at Pleasant Creek, Victoria, of Scottish heritage, Croll was a friend of Robert Menzies and a member of the Savage Club. Prominent in art circles, Croll was the general secretary of the Australian Academy of Art and a councillor of the Victorian Artists’ Society. He died in 1947.
