Copy specific notes
Contains some underlining and notes in pencil, particularly in relation to the ANZUS Pact on p. 6: “Nothing could better demonstrate the role which the United States has accepted since World War II; and its willingness to accept great responsibilities, than this brief but significant treat. The United States has 17 or 18 times the population of Australia, and almost 60 times the population of New Zealand. Clearly what Australia and New Zealand could do to assist the United States would be a very small fraction of what you [“you” crossed out] it could do for us. But you [“you crossed out”] still made the treaty.” Further emphasis in pencil is made on several aspects of the speech on pp. 8 – 14.
